Have you decided where you would like to spend that much-needed, upcoming vacation? Consider taking a tour of Spain. Better yet, make it a tour of Spain's capital, Barcelona. Barcelona tours are a combination of beauty, excitement, and education. Barcelona tours cover historical attributes that have been a part of world culture for centuries. Here are just a few of many sites and wonders that await you during Barcelona tours.
Barcelona tours and attractions: There is only enough room here to mention a couple of the many attractions Barcelona offers. Those listed concern one of Barcelona’s most famed architects, Antoni Gaudi, born in 1852. He was a visionary whose unconventional ideas became reality in Barcelona and most are on the “must see” list of Barcelona Tours.
1.) Casa Vicens, constructed in the period of 1883-1889, was his first important commissioned work. This home was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site list in 2005.
2.) Casa Batllo, built in the period of 1875-1877, was commissioned to be rebuilt by Gaudi during 1904- 1906 as family residence. Since Gaudi abhorred straight lines, as his architectures reflect, this construction is no exception. It is believed to tell the story of a slain dragon and it’s victims.

3.) Sagrada Familia is listed last but it is far from the least of Gaudi’s accomplishments. Construction began in 1882 and was originally designed by another architect to be a gothic church. Gaudi took over construction in 1883 and changed the design to fit his “no straight lines” concept. Gaudi died in 1926.
The church is still under construction. Gaudi is now buried in the crypt of his beloved Sagrada
Familia.
